The Waste Transport Manifesto (MTR) is a numbered document that serves to control the shipment, transport and receipt of waste at the final disposal unit.

In Rio Grande do Sul, the MTR is issued through the MTR ONLINE System through the FEPAM website and the generator is responsible for issuing it, in addition, a printed copy of the MTR must accompany the transport of solid waste, the carrier must present the MTR document to the inspection agents whenever requested and the recipient must proceed with the discharge of the MTR received, as well as issue the Final Destination Certificate (CDF) of the waste received.

For the issuance of an MTR through the MTR ONLINE System it is necessary that all involved (generator, transporter and recipient) have their registrations carried out in the respective system. If one of those involved is not yet registered in the system, he must access it and proceed with the registration so that the MTR can be issued later.

Some residues do not need to be declared in the MTR ONLINE System, they are:

  • Used plastic packaging for post-consumer lubricating oils;
  • Used lubricating oils;
  • Returnable packaging to the manufacturer of the bottled product, returnable type packaging for refills;
  • Waste resulting from emergency situations.

The following undertakings are required to declare waste on MTR ONLINE:

  • Generators that produce waste that needs to be disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner;
  • ? Enterprises that carry out the selection and classification of recyclable waste (scrap dealers, aparistas, etc.);
  • ? Residues from household sewage.
